Hanashi no Hanashi Chapter One
For a brief summary, Hanashi no Hanashi (花師の話, or “The Flower Master’s Story”) tells the story of a young adult (Seiji) who inherited a gigantic underground garden full of rare and magical plants from his late grandfather and the girl (Ginger) who was hired by a mysterious third party to befriend him and gain his trust. However, Seiji’s desire for solitude, restrictions placed upon him by what is known as the “Green Leaf Society,” and Ginger’s preconceived hatred for Seiji might cause the friendship to be somewhat...problematic. Later in the story, themes of life and rebirth, the value of loved ones, and accepting oneself are explored in a not-so-typical botanically magical fashion.
